When Marlo Hampton threw a water bottle at NeNe Leakes on Sunday's episode of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, jaws dropped.
On Wednesday some light was shed on the reality star's penchant for violent outbursts when RadarOnline reported the Florida native has been arrested seven times.
The 37-year-old's first run-in with police took place in 1999 at age 23 after a knife fight left another woman disfigured. The beauty was hit with a first-degree felony charge.
Not so close now: Days after throwing a water bottle at NeNe Leakes (right) on Sunday's episode of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the criminal record of Marlo Hampton (left) came to light
There are mug shots from all of the arrests, which took place within a span of only four years.
Leakes - who made Marlo a member of her wedding party when she remarried Gregg Leakes in June - helped shed light on Hampton's criminal past on her blog.
NeNe said her co-star 'slashed a friends face with a knife and disfigured her over a man. (sic)'
Mug shot woman: The 37-year-old has appeared in seven mug shots, her first in 1999 from slashing a friend's face during a knife fight
The Atlanta star then added: 'Marlo showed me her street side that everyone talks about! Yes you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig!'
In January Marlo defended her past when she said, 'I am shocked and saddened to hear of the recent distortions of events and false accusations disseminated over an altercation I was involved in over a dozen years ago.'
She added: 'I was in my early twenties, and what took place started out as an argument with someone who was once my friend, over the phone.'
The feisty reality star added: 'As disturbing as the carrying of a weapon may seem, it was quite common in the environment in which I was raised, and not only I, but also the person involved in the altercation, had each brought weapons to protect ourselves.'
More problems: The reality star was arrested again in 2000 and served 100 days in jail; her third time behind bars came in 2001
She added: 'There was a confrontation, her knife dropped, mine did not.'
In 2011 the looker, who grew up in Tampa, Florida, said that her rough childhood caused her to take the wrong path.
'We all have a past and my hard-knock childhood in and out of the foster care system is a reflection on a bigger issue we are faced with here in America, a broken foster care system,' she said.
'My present charge in life is to live with God in my heart and help young women especially from the foster care system avoid the challenges I faced.'
Bad money: In 2002 the beauty was cited for trying to pass a fake check
Hampton added: 'I'm more then just what is being said of me and I have a story to tell.'
The TV star served four months in jail for the fight and was released in January 2000, according to Radar.
The arrest proved to be a big problem for Hampton, who saw four parole violation arrests from it.
Don't shoot: In December 2002 she was arrested for 'possession of a firearm' and the next year she violated her parole again
Just five months after being released from jail from her knife fight she was arrested again, resulting in over 100 days in jail. Online records did not specify what the arrest was for, according to Radar.
On February 14, 2001, the leggy lady was arrested yet again. She spent six days in jail for violating her parole.
In September 2002 she was arrested for trying to pass a fake check and was released on a $1,000 bond the site pointed out.
In December 2002 Marlo was cited for being in 'possession of a firearm.' That's against the law for a convicted felon, and that's why she served nine days in jail.
In July 2003 she was taken to jail for 30 days for violating her parole again, though it was not stated why.
The red-carpet looker has not had any problems with the law for over a decade.
Better now: Marlo, who blamed her string of arrests on being a foster child, has not tangled with the law since 2003
New and improved: A much thinner Hampton in September at UsWeekly's Most Stylish New Yorkers party
