Josh was signed by the Green Bay Packers in the early 2002 off-season, but he was released within a month before training camp and he did not pursue his professional career in football afterward.
Josh spent the 2004 season for Oklahoma under head coach Bob Stoops as a graduate assistant and in 2005, Josh was hired as the coach at the University of Arizona by newly appointed head coach Mike.
Josh became the quarterback’s coach for Oklahoma in 2006 and in his capacity, he coached Sam Bradford as Sooner quarterback, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2008.
On 13 December 2010, Bob Stoops named Josh and Jay Norvell as co-offensive coordinators at Oklahoma. Bob Stoops said Josh would be in-charge of offensive plays calling during the games. But in January 2015, Josh was fired following an 8−5 season capped by a 40−6 loss with Clemson in 2014.
