Donald Molander Family Kimberly, Miranda and Dane Molander lost their life in I81 Crash.
According to investigators, four persons in the RV and the truck driver were killed in the collision after a recreational vehicle with a flat tire on an interstate highway in Pennsylvania jumped the median and hit a tractor-trailer head-on.
Around 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, a collision happened on Interstate 81 northbound close to Chambersburg in south-central Pennsylvania, according to state police.
After the tire exploded, the RV, which was pulling a trailer and traveling south, crossed a grassy median and collided with the truck that was pulling two trailers simultaneously.
There were no further recorded injuries, and all four RV and truck driver occupants were declared dead at the spot.
Donald Molander, Kimberly Molander, Miranda Molander, and Dane Molander, all of Middletown, Pennsylvania, were among those killed in the RV.
James Shade, a truck driver from Martinsburg, West Virginia, was named.
Authorities closed the section of road for almost ten hours as they conducted their investigation, and lingering delays persisted into Thursday morning.

According to a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson, the RV was towing a trailer in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 when the tire exploded, causing it to cross over into the northbound lanes and go through a double-cabled median barrier.
According to Thompson and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Megan Frazer, the RV continued to cross the grassy median before colliding head-on with a tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes at 8:53 p.m. on August 9.
By 10:28 p.m., all five fatalities had been reported, according to Thompson.
According to PennDOT’s 551 website, the northbound lanes of I-81 were blocked between exits 16: US 30 – Lincoln Way and 20: website 997 – Scotland in Greene Township, Chambersburg.
The victims’ names were made public around 10:30 a.m. after an investigation into the fatal collision.
Dane began riding an ATV professionally at the age of 19. According to his Instagram, he most recently participated in the Ohio 2023 AMA ATV MX Pro-Am championship series at the end of July.
He was the 2021 ATV MX Amateur Rider of the Year and the 2022 AMA ATV MX Pro-Am National Champion. Additionally, he won four national ATV MX championships.
