Gary Goldsmith is a millionaire businessman who made his money in recruitment.
He is uncle to Kate, Princess of Wales as well as her siblings Pippa and James Middleton through his older sister Carole.
Gary is the son of a painter and decorator from West London and grandson of a miner from a pit village in Durham.
He was eight years old when sister Carole left high school and became a stewardess for British Airways, which is where she met future husband Michael Middleton, and at the age of 15 he was an usher at Carole and Michael's wedding.

Gary began working as an IT operator and after joining IT recruitment company Computer Futures he soon became a director and owned shares in the company.

In the November he pleaded guilty to knocking out his wife during a drunken street brawl at Westminster Magistrates court.
He was handed a £5,000 fine for the incident and ordered into alcohol rehabilitation.
