WHEN this couple moved into their new build home, they knew it needed a lot of word to make it feel like their own.
But as well as the big renovations, Ryan and Kelsey Mansingh, from Ohio, saved money by keeping some upgrades on the simple side of things.
Recently, the duo decided to transform their boring staircase using a bargain buy from Etsy.
The peel and stick decals are easy to put and and remove, so they're a great option if you're renting but still want to spruce your home up.
Apart from the decals, all Kelsey used was a small utility blade to cut each one to size and something flat to press them down.
She said: "They have a peel and stick adhesive backing and come in hundreds of different designs."

You could mix things up and use several different designs for a more bohemian look, or stick could stick to one pattern for each stair if you want them all to match.
There are even wooden prints, tiles and mosaic options, and although the couple bought theirs from Etsy they're also available on sites like Shein for as little as £2.25 per roll.
Kelsey decided to use the same grey geometric design on every other stair for a unique look.
The stickers were so easy to apply that Kelsey had the job done and dusted in minutes, leaving her staircase looking super posh.

"This was such a quick and easy update and it makes the stairs just a little more fun," she said.
Your staircase might not be somewhere you don't spend a lot of time, but a simple upgrade can make all the difference, as Kelsey and her husband found out.
After sharing the transformation video on YouTube viewers were amazed by the huge difference the stickers made.
"Looks great so far," one wrote.
Another commented: "Don't know why, and I know it would probably be too much, but I wish it was on every step, over all it looks really good though."
